The Materials
Each piece in the collection is strategically designed using premium, eco-conscious fabrics. All three of our core qualities use Lenzing's Tencel Modal™️: a regenerative cellulosic fiber made from the wood pulp of a beech tree. Because the fiber is biodegradable and compostable, the entire production process is closed loop. Even more appealing, this natural fiber is known for its exceptional softness, killer drape, and subtle sheen. Pair this with high stretch, enabling the fabrics to seamlessly grow with your expanding belly, and opa!, we've found a perfect marriage.
The Mill
Our partner mill, located in Shanghai, China, beautifully created these one-of-a-kind fabrics for us using industry-leading energy saving knitting, dyeing and finishing machines. They are focused on clean production, running on solar power, recycling any water waste, and methodically keeping their carbon emissions low. For their innovative efforts, they have been awarded the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Ecological Textile Certificate. We are proud to share their same ethical commitment to produce clothing as responsibly as possible.
The Design Strategy
Prioritizing natural and sustainable fabrics while striving to reduce our impact on the planet is just the beginning of our design strategy. The next piece is developing timeless silhouettes that can be worn (and reworn) any time during the year. By steering clear of specific trends, we hope to give you a maternity and everyday life "uniform" if you will- closet building blocks that you can keep coming back to time and time again and layer with your pre or post pregnancy wardrobe. Functional and versatile pieces that are easy to throw on (no zippers or added trims!), and easy to care for (say goodbye to dry cleaning). We hope you can feel the comfort, femininity, and considered details in each style.
